Government primary schools begin this process and will issue all the necessary forms at the appropriate time. Early enrolment will not guarantee a place. For students coming from a private school you should register your interest with the school early the year before the child is to start so that you can be included in any orientation activities.

You will be notified in writing as soon as possible after any decision has been made for non selective placements.

Selective placements follow the timeline set out by the Department of Education and Training - generally July of the year the child is in Year 6. Further details can be found on their website.

The school offers a wide and varied curriculum which caters for the needs and interests of most students. It changes slightly from year to year depending on students choice and available resources.

If we can offer your child certain subject choices depends on factors such as timetable structure and maximum class numbers. Short term electives are offered in Year 8 and we offer two 200 hour electives for the School Certificate. For the HSC the only compulsory subject is 2 units of English, the remaining 10 units are offered based on the choices of the students. Some students are also accommodated by studying a subject we can't offer through correspondence.

All applications are assessed on merit by the Principal with regard to many criteria, location only being one of them. The benefits to the student are also considered. Our school enjoys an excellent reputation so we usually have quite a few applications, but vacancies exist from time to time.

Sibling rights are not automatic from the Selective stream, however the school recognises the benefits of siblings going to the same school and will assess the application on it's merit.
