Principal's Message

I welcome you as a prospective student to Moorebank High School. You will be enrolling in a school, which each year looks closely at its curriculum, so that the courses the school provides for students remain relevant and best meet their needs. A recent example being the creation of an academically gifted class operating in Stage 4 (Year 7 and 8) to cater for the needs of gifted and talented students and, from 2010 Moorebank becomes a partially selective high school offering 60 places in Year 7.
Moorebank High has, over the years, established an impressive record of academic, sporting and performing arts achievement. Five students in the last five years have attained the Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Student Achievement. Each year in NSW, out of a Year 12 student population of over 30 000 students, only 40 of these prestigious awards are issued.
At Moorebank High we expect you to value your lessons, develop a regular home study program and involve yourself fully in the school activities available: in sport, dance, music, debating, and the many other programs the school offers. By your involvement you will develop into a more widely educated person who will gain so much more from the experiences of being at Moorebank High.
Thank you for considering enrolment at Moorebank High. You can look forward to being part of a school that values student, parent and staff input.
Mr. G. ANDERSON
